In September, the CFS Analytics team recently travelled to the ICMA Annual Conference, held in Baltimore. The conference focused on creating smart and sustainable communities, and attendees worked to produce innovative ideas for local government.
The conference allowed us the opportunity to interact with local government leaders and gain valuable insights into the challenges of managing a city. Through our interactions with city and county managers, we learned about the different dynamics across local government. Between running from meeting to meeting, it can be a struggle for leaders—like police and fire chiefs and city and county managers—to stay up-to-date on all the daily occurrences within local government.
